Rustam Minnikhanov hands in President of Kyrgyzstan a certificate for two rare saker falcons

On 6 September, during his meeting with the President of Kyrgyzstan Sadyr Japarov, the Rais (Head) of Tatarstan Rustam Minnikhanov, who is a working trip to Kazakhstan to take part in a ceremony of closing the World Nomad Games 2026, handed in Sadyr Japarov a certificate for two rare saker falcons. In recent years extensive work has been carried out in Tatarstan to restore the population of this rare bird species.

Earlier, the Kyrgyz Republic donated three individuals to the Tatarstan “Snow Leopard” Center in the Altai region for population restoration. 

Speaking at the meeting, Rustam Minnikhanov emphasized: “One of important spheres of our cooperation is issues of biodiversity preservation,” and noted that such mutual exchange makes it possible to preserve and multiply rare biological species.
