Rais of Tatarstan meets President of Kyrgyzstan Sadyr Japarov

On 5 September, upon his arrival to Cholpon-Ata, the Rais (Head) of Tatarstan Rustam Minnikhanov had a meeting with the President of Kyrgyzstan Sadyr Japarov, where he shared his impressions from the ceremony of opening the World Nomad Games he attended earlier. 

“I was deeply impressed by the level of organization of the current Games and the spectacular nature of the opening ceremony. It will be not easy to repeat your success but we will try,” he stated. 

In his turn Sadyr Japarov expressed readiness to give comprehensive assistance to holding this event in Russia in Kazan at a high level. 

Rustam Minnikhanov also congratulated the President of Kyrgyzstan with the successful holding the jubilee Summit of the Shanghai Cooperation Organization (SCO) dedicated to the 25th anniversary of the amalgamation.

The parties of the meeting discussed trade and economic relations between Tatarstan and Kyrgyzstan and Rustam Minnikhanov informed that according to results of the last year, the trade turnover demonstrated the growth of more than on one-third and exceeded 182m US dollars. In addition to economy and industry, large joint work is done in biodiversity preservation, namely of the snow leopard and its multiplication. 

In conclusion of the meeting, Rustam Minnikhanov thanked Sadyr Japarov for his personal attention to strengthening Tatarstan-Kyrgyzstan partnership within the framework of Russia-Kyrgyzstan friendly relations.
