Rais of Tatarstan welcomes participants of the professional skills competition of young oil workers in Almetyevsk

On 5 September, during his working trip to Almetyevsk, the Rais (Head) of Tatarstan Rustam Minnikhanov accompanied by the Head of Almetyevsk region Gyuzel Khabutdinova took part in a ceremony of opening the competition of professional skills among young oil workers. 

Speaking at the ceremony, Rustam Minnikhanov emphasized that such competitions give young specialists a good opportunity to show their skills and knowledge, to take a fresh look at usual work approaches and to see how their colleagues work and borrow the best experience.

“I am sure the experience gained at the competition will be used by you in your future work. On the eve of the Day of the Oil and Gas Industry Workers I congratulate you with the professional holiday,” the Rais of the republic said and went to look round competition sites among teams on underground well repairs, oil and gas production operators, workers of petrol stations and other branch specialists. 

The first professional skills competition of oil works was held in Almetyevsk in 1970. In the current year it is held at 32 sites with the total number of finalists of 436 people.
