Competitions of the World Nomad Games 2026 coming to completion in Kyrgyzstan

On 5 September the resident of Tatarstan Radik Salakhov won the gold medal in the absolute weight category in korash (national wresting competitions), thereby confirming the status of the strongest competitor at the World Nomad Games. As a result the Russian team has won six gold medals, five of them winning athletes from Tatarstan. 

On 6 September the Rais (Head) of Tatarstan Rustam Minnikhanov will take part in a ceremony of closing the World Nomad Games 2026 where the handover of one of the symbols of the Games – Keerker - will be handed over to Kazan which will host the Games in Russia in 2028.
