Rustam Minnikhanov meets Deputy Chairman of the Supreme Council for Civil Defense of Qatar Mohammed Al-Sulaiti

On 4 September, speaking at his meeting with the Deputy Chairman of the Supreme Council for Civil Defense of Qatar Mohammed Al-Sulaiti on the sidelines of the salon “Integrated Security-2026” held at the Kazan Expo Exhibition Center, the Rais (Head) of Tatarstan Rustam Minnikhanov emphasized that relations between Russia and Qatar are developing steadily in such various spheres as trade, economy, cultural, humanitarian and science and technology.

“Your country is an important and reliable partner of Russia in the Middle East. At its level Tatarstan tries to foster strengthening of Russia-Qatar relations,” he said.

Speaicl attention was given to issues of ensuring safety and protection of the population and Rustam Minnikhanov thanked the Qatari party for taking part in the salon, having noted the strategic importance of the event for the development of the system of Russian Emergencies Ministry. ”The salon is one of the key branch platforms of the country. Here solutions are demonstrated which later get practical use in work of fire-rescue units and related spheres,” he emphasized.

He also informed that a complex for training and educating firefighters and rescuers has been opened today in the republic. The new facility will make it possible to maintain and improve professional skills of specialists, the Rais of the republic said and invited the Qatari delegation to attend the new training polygon. 

In his turn Mohammed Al-Sulaiti thanked the leadership of the republic for the hospitality given and expressed his interest in deepening cooperation in the sphere of security. He also noted the importance of holding such international events as the Integrated Security salon.
