Rais of Tatarstan meets staff of Kazan Aviation Plant

On September 2, the Rais (Head) of Tatarstan Rustam Minnikhanov met with the staff of the Gorbunov Kazan Aviation Plant, a branch of Tupolev Company.

Managing Director of Tupolev Company Yury Abrosimov, First Deputy Managing Director and Director of the Kazan Aviation Plant Zufar Mirgalimov, heads of the plant’s departments and divisions, as well as representatives of the Veterans Council and young activists of the enterprise took part in the meeting.

The plant’s employees expressed their gratitude to the Rais of Tatarstan for the support provided to the enterprise in a number of areas, including production modernization, support for young professionals and labor veterans, sports and cultural initiatives, educational opportunities and improvements to working and social facilities.

Minnikhanov emphasized that the plant had been preserved during challenging times due to the efforts of Tatarstan’s First President Mintimer Shaimiev.

Young specialists at the plant thanked Rustam Minnikhanov for his support of educational projects. They asked him to assist in opening state-funded places for part-time study at the Kazan Aviation Technical College. The Rais of Tatarstan instructed the relevant authorities to work on the issue.

The plant’s employees also spoke about their active participation in Nashe Vremya – Beznen Zaman, Tatarstan’s festival for working youth. They proposed taking the festival to the international level.

Rustam Minnikhanov welcomed the initiative.

“We have partners from Central Asia and Belarus. We will first invite them to attend the Gala Concert, and then consider expanding the festival’s geographical reach,” he said.

The enterprise also employs parents of large families. They noted the caring attitude of the regional authorities toward large families and the efforts to create favorable conditions for raising children.

In 2027, the Kazan Aviation Plant will celebrate its 100th anniversary. Minnikhanov instructed to establish the organizing committee for preparing anniversary and ensure that the celebrations are held to a high level.
