Address from the Rais of Tatarstan Rustam Minnikhanov on the occasion of the Day of Knowledge

On 1 September in his address on the occasion of the Day of Knowledge, the Rais (Head) of Tatarstan Rustam Minnikhanov congratulated residents of the republic, schoolchildren and students and their parents and education workers with the holiday and said: “Tatarstan system of education has been rightly recognized as one of the leading in the country. In recent years dozens of modern schools equipped with the state-of-the-art technologies have been built in the republic and unique initiatives are being successfully implemented to support young talent and enhance the prestige of the teaching profession. Based on the best domestic traditions and advanced technologies, we open a way to great victories for the younger generation.

For the successful future of our children we develop the infrastructure, create conditions for harmonious development of personality and expand the network of additional education, helping each child to find his or her vocation.

Today is a special day for first-graders. The school bell will ring for the first time for many young residents of the republic, opening the way to the world of knowledge and creative feats. An amazing time awaits you as it is at the school desk that you will find good friends, will learn to set ambitious goals and achieve them confidently.

With deep respect I express my gratitude to our pedagogical community. Once again 80 thousand teachers and mentors undertake a high mission. You instill moral values, teach responsibility, honesty and compassion, and share your wisdom and warmth of heart. Thank you for your everyday work, boundless patience and a deep concern for the fate of each student.

I wish all schoolchildren and students a thirst for knowledge and success in their studies, a long professional career and grateful students to teachers and wisdom and reasons to be proud of their children to parents.

May the new school year be the period of creative work and meaningful achievements. Good health, peace, all the good and prosperity to you and your near ones,” the Rais of the republic concluded and once again congratulated everyone with the Day of Knowledge.
