Rustam Minnikhanov and Irek Fayzullin open the renovated section of Kaban Lake Embankment

On 29 August the Rais (Head) of Tatarstan Rustam Minnikhanov, the Russian Minister of Construction and Housing and Utilities Irek Fayzullin, the Mayor of Kazan Ilsur Metshin and the Director of the Fund “The Institute of Development of Tatarstan Cities” Nailya Nagumanova took part in a ceremony of putting into use the renovated section on Kaban Lake Embankment located opposite the Galiaskar Kamal Theatre. It linked previously developed sections into a united whole, making the total Embankment length 5 kilometers.

Due to the steepness of the bank, the new section of the embankment was divided into two tiers: the lower (the first stage completed in 2026) and the upper (the second stage which will begin in 2027).

Nailya Hagumanova told Rustam Minnikhanov that about 90 thousand plants, including 540 tress, more than 13 thousand bushes and 10 thousand perennial flowers and grass, have been planted on the area.

During his walk along the embankment, the Rais of the republic gave an errand to limit the access of high speed electric vehicles to the area. 

After Rustam Minnikhanov was told about a concept of a multimedia fountain to be built by the Galiaskar Kamal Theatre, he talked to residents and tourists who gave high appraisal to the conveniences and thanked for having created another cozy recreation site.
