Rais of Tatarstan meets Belarus Deputy Prime Minister Viktor Karankevich

On 26 August speaking at his meeting with the Belarus Deputy Prime Minister Viktor Karankevich on the sidelines of the Tatarstan Oil and Gas Forum-2026, the Rais (Head) of Tatarstan Rustam Minnikhanov emphasized that cooperation with the Republic of Belarus is very important for Tatarstan within the framework of Russia-Belarus relations. “Presidents of our countries show an example of how to support each other,” he said. 

The Rais of the republic recollected his working trip to Brest in May of the current year and gave high appraisal to the work of the city Administration in preservation of history and memory of people.  

On top of that Rustam Minnikhanov thanked for launching direct flights between our cities and Viktor Karankevich also noted the conveniences in this area. 

As last year there was a slight drop in the trade turnover between Tatarstan and Belarus, the parties of the meeting considered promising spheres for further cooperation such as transport, natural gas motor fuel as well as compressor and gas pumping machinery, education and culture.
