Rustam Minnikhanov opens Tatarstan Oil and Gas Forum

On 26 August, the Rais (Head) of Tatarstan Rustam Minnikhanov, the Belarus Deputy Prime Minister Viktor Karankevich, the Minister of Oil and Ecology of the Kingdom of Bahrain Doctor Mohamed bin Mubarak bin Daina and other representatives of oil and gas branch of Russia and foreign countries took part in a solemn ceremony of opening the Tatarstan Oil and Gas Forum-2026 at the Kazan Expo Exhibition Center. 

Welcoming participants of the ceremony, Rustam Minnikhanov said that the Forum is traditionally held on the eve of the Day of Oil and Gas Industry Workers and has become one of the largest branch platforms uniting representatives of industry, science and power bodies. 

“The oil, gas and ptrochemical complex has a special meaning for Tatarstan as it is one of the basic branches of economy of the republic and important spheres of our technological development. Today the branch is facing large scale tasks of ensuring technological leadership, developing domestic technologies and equipment, increasing the production efficiency, creating new products with high added value and training highly qualified personnel. It is precisely these areas that largely shape the business agenda of the current forum,” he said and thanked guests and participants of the Forum for their interest to the republic in the sphere of oil and gas chemistry. 

“It is important that technologies and developments demonstrated here find their use at enterprises, business contacts transform into new projects and the solutions reached serve further development of the branch. I wish all participants of the Forum fruitful work, informative discussions and successful implementation of the set plans,” Rustam Minnikhanov concluded. 

In his turn Viktor Karankrvich described the Tatarstan Oil, Gas and Petrochemical Forum as an effective platform for exchanging experience and demonstrating achievements and advanced developments. “For us Tatarstan is always a reliable partner, our interaction is built on deep trust,” he emphasized and noted the need to work on enhancing technological sovereignty and expanding production capacity. 

The Minister of Oil and Ecology of the Kingdom of Bahrain Doctor Mohamed bin Mubarak bin Daina thanked the leadership of the republic for an opportunity to take part in the Forum and told that Bahrain actively cooperates with oil and gas chemical enterprise of Tatarstan, having said he is sure the Forum will help to expand further interaction.

Then Rustam Minnikhanov and guests looked round a specialized exposition “Kazan: Oil, Gas, Chemistry” , which is one of the largest oil and gas chemistry exhibitions of Russia,   where about 180 companies from 24 regions of Russia and four foreign countries exhibited there developments.
