Rustam Minnikhanov gives an errand to step up work with the population in safety issues

On 15 August, speaking at a regional meeting held with participation of the Prime Minister of the republic Aleksey Pesoshin and the Acting Chairman of the regional State Council Marat Akhmetov with all municipalities taking part in it via videoconference, the Rais (Head) of Tatarstan Rustam Minnikhanov gave a number of errands.

First of all, he addressed safety issues regarding the announcement of “Drone Safety “alert. “The attack on Nizhnekamsk on 10 August has shown that it was possible to avoid the tragedy if people were evacuated on time. As far as industrial facilities in Nizhnekamsk are considered, there are no problems as they respond quickly and on time,” he said and told that there are complaints coming from residents regarding the unsatisfactory condition of premises designated as shelters, the lack of information regarding their location, the inaccessibility of basement areas, etc.

He also informed that the checks of shelters carried on in 396 multi-apartment houses showed that some of them do indeed have shortcomings and at certain industrial facilities the action protocol has not been worked out.

Rustam Minnikhanov emphasized the need for more active engagement with the population and gave an errand to the State Housing Commission to continue inspection of shelters in apartment buildings and ensure the oversight of the work carried out by management companies to bring the shelters in proper condition.

“I demand that the assigned task be approached with utmost responsibility,” the Rais of the republic stated.
