Rustam Minnikhanov inspects harvest progress in Tetyushi region

On 14 August the Rais (Head) of Tatarstan Rustam Minnikhanov went on a working trip to Tetyushi region, where he first flew round fields of the region and then visited the agricultural expositions of local producers of agricultural products, fish products, mineral water, polyethylene pipes, heating systems and so on.

Later the same day the Rais of the republic had a meeting with heads of farms, investors and heads of rural settlements with whom he discussed the current situation in the fields.

The Head of the region Ramis Safiullov reported that 41 per cent of fields have been harvested with about 90 thousand tonnes of grain threshed. Currently the farmers are getting ready to sugar been harvest, he said.

Rustam Minnikhanov noted that Tetyushi region is among leaders in crop growing and wished to complete the harvest without losses. He also gave a task to increase the livestock number and emphasized that the region has a well-organized work in supporting participants of the special military operation.

Then the Rais of the republic looked round the Tetyushi Thoroughbred Stud farm which currently keeps 600 horses and is planning to purchase 100 animals more, and visited the Chaika (Sea Gull) children’s recreation camp, the main building of which was erected in 1931 and which underwent construction and repair work in the current year.

During his working trip to Tetyushi region Rustam Minnikhanov also visited the Molostovs noble estate which is a monument of late 19-th century residential architecture of regional significance and is considered the only rural noble estate in Tatarstan built in the style of Scottish castles. Currently the facility is under restoration with finances allocated from the budget of the republic. The place is unique having the only 127 year-old avenue of Siberian larches and rare species of plants, animals and insects included into the Red Book.
