Rustam Minnikhanov at August meeting: The most important in to start the new academic year with high quality and on time

On 13 August, speaking at a regional August meeting of workers of education and science held at the Russian Drama Theatre in Naberezhnyye Chelny with participation of the Chairman of the Russian State Duma Committed on Education Irina Belykh and the Acting Chairman of the State Council of the republic Marat Akhmetov, the Rais (Head) of Tatarstan Rustam Minnikhanov gave an errand to start the new academic year at new schools with high quality and on time.

He reminded that 115 schools and 303 kindergartens have been built in the republic since 2010 and large amount of money has been also allocated to capital overhaul of educational facilities. “The most important is that at our new schools and those after capital overhaul we should begin the academic year on time and with high quality,” he said.

The Rais of the republic also attracted attention to issues of studying the native language and highly appreciated work of the Commission by the Rais of Tatarstan on issues of preservation and development of Tatar language and native languages of ethnicities living in the republic. “We can see huge work and good results in this sphere,” he said and gave an errand to Marat Akhmetov and the regional Minister of Education and science Ilsur Khadiullin to continue to monitor these issues closely.

Having mentioned the role of AI in making work of teachers easier, Rustam Minnikhanov also emphasized: "And most importantly of course, the prevention of destructive and unlawful behavior among minors is a matter of great importance,” and thanked law-enforcement bodies for joint work.

“We are overseeing the implementation of the errand from the Russian President on reducing social orphan hood and we are making progress in this area as well,” the Rais of the republic stated and attracted attention to the fact that many orphans who were given free apartments do not pay their utility bills. He asked cities and regions of the republic to pay close attention to these issues.

In his speech Rustam Minnikhanov also touched upon the safety issues, having reminded that when a drone threat is announced, people must remain in shelters.

He also reminded about Electronic Wall of Honor where 3 640 teachers and educators were included and concluded: “We are proud of teachers who have made and are making their contribution into the development of the education system.”.  

In the end of the meeting Rustam Minnikhanov handed in state awards to teachers.
