Rais of Tatarstan inspects pace of harvest campaign in Zainsk region

On 11 August the Rais (Head) of Tatarstan Rustam Minnikhanov inspected pace of harvest campaign in Zainsk region, where at the winter wheat field of the Zainsk Sugar agricultural farm he talked to machine operators, looked round an exposition of local agricultural producers, and had a meeting with heads of farms, investors, heads of rural settlements and active members of the region, where they discussed the current situation in the fields. 

At the meeting, the Head of the region Razif Karimov reported that harvest has been completed on the more than 11 thousand hectares with having threshed 56 thousand tonnes of grain with the average yield of 50.5 centners per hectare. The harvest of winter crops is planned to be completed this week, he said.

The regional Minister of Agriculture and Food Marat Zyabbarov attracted attention to the fact that even if the region is one of the best in crop production, there is a need to increase the livestock number. 

In his turn Rustam Minnikhanov gave an errand to ramp up work in this sphere, stating: “Milk is a continuous money flow.” 

He also mentioned active work of the region in collecting humanitarian aid for the special military operation and support provided to new territories. In conclusion the Rais of the republic added that all regional programmes will go on.

Later the same day Rustam Minnikhanov looked round the new Martial Arts Palace to be opened in Zainsk in several days and visited the Memorial Complex to participants of the special military operation, veterans of combat operations and local wars and laid flowers to the memorial.
