As many as 747 multi-apartment houses will be renovated in Tatarstan in the current year

On 28 July, speaking at a briefing in the Tatarstan Government House, the regional first Deputy Minister of Construction, Architecture and Housing Utilities Sector Damir Shaydullin informed that more than 12 thousand multi-apartment houses have been renovated during the condos capital overhaul programme in the republic.

The programme has been in operation since 2008 and the total amount of more than 104bn rubles, including 46bn from the regional and municipalities budgets, 50bn paid by the residence owners and 10.5bn allocated by the Fund for Assistance to Reforming Housing and Public Utilities, has been allocated on this purpose, he said. 

Each year the programme involves repairing roofs and facades, replacing utility systems, installing new elevators and carrying out work to enhance safety and energy efficiency of multi-apartment houses.

In 2026, 747 multi-apartment houses in 41 municipalities will be renovated in Tatarstan and nearly 11.4bn rubles have already been allocated on this purpose. By the midpoint of the construction season, the programme is 60% complete which is a higher figure than at the same period last year, the regional Deputy Minister concluded.

In his turn the Director General of the Fund for Assistance to Reforming Housing and Public Utilities of the republic Ayrat Abuzyarov said that the capital overhaul has been completed fully in 115 houses, with work going on in 536 more, and informed that the completion of this year’s programme is expected by 1 December.

He also informed about work being done following complaints of residents and said that their number in the first half of the current year was by 32.2 per cent less compared to the same period last year.
