Rais of Tatarstan holds a meeting on implementation of the “Kazan Marina” tourist area project

On 23 July, speaking at a meeting in the Government House of the republic on implementation of the “Kazan Marina” tourist area project, the Rais (Head) of Tatarstan Rustam Minnikhanov emphasized that the Kazan Marina is a strategic project, implementation of which will make it possible to strengthen the tourist capacity of the republic and ensure growth of employment and development of adjacent spheres of economy.

The participants of the meeting discussed a number of business issues in implementation of the project, in particular tasks in construction of the accompanying infrastructure and building the resort facilities.

Following results of the meeting, Rustam Minnikhanov, the Director General of the Corporation Tourism.RF Vasiliy Shvets and the Chairman of the Board of the Expobank Igor Kim signed a protocol.

The Kazan Marina with the total area of 43.1 hectares will become the first full cycle marina build in the republic for the last 30 years and the economy of the republic will see a significant impact with the creation of around 1 900 new jobs. Once put into operation, the facility will be able to accommodate up to 620 thousand tourists a year.
