Rais of Tatarstan visits the Social Adaptation Center BlagoDaryu in Derbyshki

On 7 July the Rais (head) of Tatarstan Rustam Minnikhanov visited the Social Adaptation Center BlagoDaryu (Doing good things) in Derbyshki.

The supported living project has been implemented in the republic since 2022 with the support of the Rais of the republic. It aims to create conditions for the greatest possible independence, employment, and social integration for young people with mental disabilities, and the Director of the Center Gulnara Galiakhmetova, who accompanied Rustam Minnikhahnov during his visit, told that currently 13 people - graduates of social care institutions for children and adults – are taking part in the project. Young people are living together with specialists in two apartments in Kazan and a house in Derbyshki.

After having looked round the facility and talking to participants of the project, the Rais of the republic gave high appraisal to the work of the center. “You are fulfilling a very important mission. It is good that young people are employed as they earn money, interact with colleagues and find new friends. You have all done a great job,” he said. 

During the visit Rustam Minnikhanov was also informed about the plans on further improvement of the Center and in his turn he handed in a certificate for purchasing a milling machine.
