Rais of Tatarstan takes part in an annual general meeting of Shareholders of JSC TAIF

On 29 June the Rais (Head) of Tatarstan Rustam Minnikhanov took part in an annual general meeting of shareholders of JSC TAIF, which summarized results of financial and economic work of the TAIF Company and the TAIF Group in 2025 which was a jubilee year for the company.  

The TAIF Group continues to successfully introduce advanced solutions and implement investment projects. The TAIF-NK has completed the construction of a modern Scientific Research Center in Nizhnekamsk and has begun to work out a new investment project on foundry coke production. Both Kazan and Nizhnekamsk thermal power plants of the TGK Company implement large scale  projects on modernization of the generating equipment with the total capacity of 560 MW  within the framework of the programme of the Competitive selection of modernization projects.

In 2025 specialists from the TGK-16 Company and Russian companies carried out a major overhaul of a unique 405 MW gas turbine unit- the only one of its kind in Russia, manufactured by General Electric –in the record time of 66 days, fully replacing its assemblies and components.

In his turn Rustam Minnikhanov noted that last year the amount of industrial production exceeded 6 trillion rubles in the republic and its GRP was more than 5.7 trillion rubles. In 2025 Tatarstan produced 34.5m tonnes of oil, 23.7m tonnes of which were refined, the share of the TAIF-NK making 6.7m. “Today TAIF Group comprises 21 companies with more than nine thousand employees. You have a huge work experience, a professional team and implement big projects. We hope we will continue working together,” he emphasized.

The Rais of the republic gave a high appraisal to results of the TAIF Group work, having noted the importance of its contribution in the sustainable development and prosperity of the republic.

The TAIF Group traditionally supports implementation of social projects going on in Tatarstan and in 2025 its allocated 2bn rubles on charity and sponsorship. The project on preservation of the snow leopard has become one of the company’s landmark events and in 2025 it signed an agreement on cooperation with Snow Leopard research center and will finance the recovery of the animal population in the Altay Mountains.

Alongside the development of corporate sports and the promotion of a healthy lifestyle among staff, the TAIF Group consistently funds initiatives related to environmental protection, occupational health, and industrial safety.
