Rustam Minnikhanov meets participants of the federal candidate pool

On 25 June, speaking at his meeting with participants of the federal candidates’ pool in the Government House of the republic, the Rais (Head) of Tatarstan Rustam Minnikhanov emphasized that the republic attaches big attention to issues of protection of cultural heritage sites. “What is especially important is that these sites should be not just monuments but also points of attraction and competencies. They must be used and work in interests of residents and our guests. In the whole we have a lot of achievements in this sphere but there is even more work ahead,” he said.

The representatives of the federal candidates pool had a special regional internship in studying the experience of Tatarstan in attracting investors for preservation of cultural heritage sites , and at the meeting they spoke up  a number of proposals which, with a support at the federal level, could facilitate attraction of investments to the preservation of cultural heritage sites and creation of additional opportunities for the development of territories, including simplification of procedures for the transfer, restoration, and subsequent operation of facilities, reduction of project implementation costs as well as tax and other incentives for investors.

Rustam Minnikhanov proposed to submit these issues for consideration by the State Council of Russia Commission on the "Infrastructure for Life" which he is the Head of.
