Rustam Minnikhanov gives a number of errands at a meeting in Tatarstan Government House

On 19 June at a meeting in the Government House of the republic the Rais (Head) of Tatarstan Rustam Minnikhanov gave a number of errands concerning celebrations of several events in the nearest few days.

Thus, speaking about horse races and holiday celebrations of Sabantuy holiday in Kazan on 19 and 20 June, he emphasized: “The priority task is to ensure security. Many regions provide support for the celebration. Measures should be taken to prevent incidents during celebration events and to ensure the high level of law and order in the whole.”

Having reminded about the Day of the Medical Worker to be also celebrated on 20 June, the Rais of the republic said: “We are immensely grateful to our doctors, mid-level and junior medical staff, and all industry workers for their humanity, resilience, and responsiveness. Next week on 24 June we will congratulate the best representatives of this profession at the regional level - the winners of the “Ak Chachaklar (white flowers) the Doctor of the Year” competition.” He gave an errand to the Ministry of Healthcare of the republic and heads of municipalities to organize honoring healthcare workers in every city and district, with special attention paid to healthcare old stagers.

Speaking about the Day of Remembrance and Sorrow to be held across the country on 22 June, Rustam Minnikhanov said: “85 years have passed since the beginning of the Great Patriotic War. On this tragic date, we bow our heads in memory of the millions of the fallen. We should always remember and have respect to the feat of defenders of Fatherland who defended our country and gave peace to future generations as well as the workers who forged Victory at home front. Memorial events will be held all over the republic. I gave an errand to head of cities and regions, the regional power bodies to organize them at the high level, to take personal involvement and to ensure security measures.”

Next week on 25 June Tatarstan will be celebrating the 106th anniversary of the establishment of the Tatar Autonomous Soviet Socialist Republic (TASSR) and the Rais of the republic added: “This significant event marked the formation of the republic's statehood in new historical conditions and became the starting point of our movement forward. Today our republic is a backbone region of Russia, one of the leaders in social and economic indicators and in the quality of life. We are grateful to all generations of residents of Tatarstan who have made a contribution into prosperity of our republic.”
