Rais of Tatarstan and Head of the Russian Emergencies Ministry get acquainted with the progress of construction of a training complex for firefighters and rescuers in Kazan

On 8 June the Rais (Head) of Tatarstan Rustam Minnikhanov and the Minister of the Russian Federation for Civil Defense, Emergencies and Elimination of Consequences of Natural Disasters Aleksander Kurenkov got acquainted with the progress of construction of a training complex for firefighters and rescuers located in Laishevo region of the republic in 15 kilometers from the Kazan Expo Exhibition Center and which will host main events of the International Exhibition of Security Equipment "Integrated Security". The facility under construction will become one of the venues of the event and a basis for training specialists in conditions as close as possible to real ones.

All in all the complex will have five clusters located on the area of 22 hectares, namely technogenic and fire safety, search and rescue operations, sports and administrative and household. The project also includes the creation of all necessary engineering infrastructure, construction of roads, sidewalks and parking lots and improvement and landscaping of the adjacent territory.  

During the Integrated Security exhibition, large-scale demonstration exercises and competitions, including those at the international level, will be held here.  The polygon will then become a training ground for firefighters and rescuers, as well as for holding various competitions and professional skills contests.  The complex is a key element of the infrastructure of the Russian Ministry of Emergency Situations and Tatarstan and will be the first training complex of this scale in Russia.
