Rustam Minnikhanov at a meeting with a delegation from the Kingdom of Bahrain: Our enterprises are ready to work in Bahrain

On 5 June, speaking at his meeting with a delegation from the Kingdom of Bahrain on the sidelines of the St Petersburg International Economic Forum and addressing the Minister of Finance and National Economy and the Minister of Industry and Trade of Bahrain, the Rais (Head) of Tatarstan Rustam Minnikhanov said: ”Our country considers the Kingdom of Bahrain to be an important trade, economic and investment partner in the eastern region.”

He briefly told about work being done in cooperation with Bahrain and, in particular informed: “Last year the AOIFFI opened its first in the world representative office in Kazan.”

“Bahrain is one of the financial centers of the Middle East. While in its turn Tatarstan is a pilot region of Russia in implementation of principles of Islamic banking and financing. Our enterprises are ready to work in Bahrain,” Rustam Minnikhanov emphasized.
