Important agreements signed at a meeting of Rustam Minnikhanov and Russian Minister of Agriculture Oksana Lut

On 4 June, speaking at his meeting with the Russian Minister of Agriculture Oksana Lut on the sidelines of the St Petersburg International Economic Forum-2026, the Rais (Head) of Tatarstan Rustam Minnikhanov briefly told that according to results of last year more than 4.6m tonnes of grain, 2.2m tonnes of sugar beet and more than 1.2m tonnes of potatoes and vegetables were grown in the republic and this year it is also expecting a good yeild.

“I would like to note the programme “The Comprehensive Development of Rural Territories”  as for us it is  the fates of thousands of families and the appearance of our villages ,” he said and informed that last year 164 faciltieis were built and modernized in the republic, including a vascular center, a school and a kindergarten and more than 18 kilometers of communal engineering networks. As many as 420 facilties have been financed in the current year, he said.

The participants of the meeting signed an agreement between the Government of Tatarstan and the Russian Ministry of Agriculture about educational and scientific –technological partnership and an agreement between Tatarstan and the Rosagroleasing Company about establishement of a mechanical engineering company in the republic.
