Rustam Minnikhanov takes part in a joint meeting of members of the Association of Innovative Regions of Russia

On 5 June the Rais (Head) of Tatarstan Rustam Minnikhanov took part in a joint meeting of members of the Association of Innovative Regions of Russia (AIRR) held on the sidelines of the St Petersburg International Economic Forum and which discussed a number of organizational issues including the election of the AIRR Council, and approval of the yearly report and the work schedule.  

The tasks of the Association, which comprises 20 regions-participants, are interaction with legislative and executive power bodies, institutes of development, relative ministries, and institutions, assistance in attracting funding for the development of innovative infrastructure, promotion of joint innovative, economic, scientific and technological and education projects of the regions-participants,  stimulating the exchange of accumulated experience and best practices in innovation development, shaping the intellectual content of the agenda with the aim of the development of innovations at the All-Russia level and interaction with similar associations abroad.
