Tatarstan and Moscow occupy the first line in the National ranking of the state of the investment climate in the regions of Russia

On 5 June the Deputy Chairman of the Russian Government Aleksandr Novak, the Minister of Economic Development of Russia Maksim Reshetnikov, the Rais (Head) of Tatarstan Rustam Minnikhanov, the Mayor of Moscow Sergey Sobyanin and representatives of the Administrations of Russian regions took part in an event held on the sidelines of the St Petersburg International Economic Forum (SPIEF), where the Director General of the Agency for Strategic Initiatives Svetlana Chupsheva informed about results of the National ranking of the state of the investment climate in the regions.

Thus she declared that Tatarstan together with Moscow have occupied the first line in the National ranking.

Giving his comments about results of the ranking, Rustam Minnikhanov thanked the Russian President and the Government of the country for the support given to the regions. “Despite all difficulties there are many federal support measures and we use them. Second, we also do huge work to provide support. The most important is that we take these rankings and analyze them and can see our reserves. Thanks a lot to the Agency for Strategic Initiatives for this work. It really is a lot of painstaking work, and this is a kind of incentive for us to improve our situation.”

The Rais of the republic also said that the high ranking is a result of fruitful work of the republic and informed that there are three special economic zones, advanced development territories and 110 industrial sites working in Tatarstan. “I can tell you that these sites produced 1.5 trillion rubles of goods last year. I think that without federal support measures it would have been impossible to reach this,” he said.
