Address from the Rais of Tatarstan Rustam Minnikhanov on the occasion of celebrations of the Tatar National Holiday Sabantuy

On 5 June is his address on the occasion of the Tatar National Holiday Sabantuy , the Rais (Head) of Tatarstan Rustam Minnikhanov congratulated residents of the republic with the event and wrote: “ Prosperity and abundance are  the results of hard work. This rule which is passed from generation to generation has become a principle of life of our people. From time immemorial  during the Sabantuy we commend our respected grain producers and all agicultural workers through whose efforts the food security of the republic is created. We are heartfully grateful to you for your selfless noble labour, love and dedication to the native land!        

The Festive Maidan (site) is the place of unity for people of different generations, cultures and beliefs. Its bright colors and ringing melodies intertwine the threads of the destinies of peoples living in peace and harmony for centuries. The Sabatuy demonstrates a unique experience of mutual cultural enrichment characteristic of a muti-ehtnic Tatarstan. From a holiday of the Tatars it has turned into a precious gem of the All-Russian heritage and a symbol of unification, which gains a special meaning in the Year of Unity of Peoples of Russia.

In conclusion the Rais of the republic wished everyone good health, happiness peace in every home and prosperity.
