Rustam Minnikhanov invites the Minister for Development of Human Resources, the Minister for IT, Electronics and Communications of the Andhra-Pradesh State to the Forum ”Russia-India” in 2026

On 4 June, speaking at his meeting with the Minister for IT, Electronics and Communications of the Andhra-Pradesh State Nara Lokesh on the sidelines of the St Petersburg International Economic Forum, the Rais (Head) of Tatarstan Rustam Minnikhanov stated that relations between India and Russia are characterized by a privileged strategic partnership.

“Leaders of our countries keep a continuous dialogue and it was a great honor for us to host an Indian delegation headed by the Prime Minister Narendra Modi during the BRICS summit in Kazan,” the Rais of the republic reminded.

 He emphasized that Tatarstan attaches great attention to the development of cooperation with India and during the last year the trade turnover was demonstrating good results having amounted to 353m dollars US in 2025. Last year, the Consulate General of India opened in Kazan, and a trade representative of Tatarstan was appointed in India. Currently there are 1 300 Indian students studying at universities of the republic and a Centre for the Development of Relations between Tatarstan and India has been established under the Assembly of the Peoples of Tatarstan, Rustam Minnikhanov said.

As for the Andhra-Pradesh State, the republic has a working agreement with this region, he added.

“We would like to develop mutually beneficial interaction with you in various spheres such as mining and processing of mineral raw materials, pharmaceuticals and medical devices, electronics and industrial production, high technology,” the Rais of the republic concluded.
