Rustam Minnikhanov Meets Director General of the VK Company Vladimir Kirienko

On 4 June, speaking at his meeting with Director General of the VK (Vkontakte) Company Vladimir Kirienko on the sidelines of the St Petersburg International Economic Forum, the Rais (Head) of Tatarstan Rustam Minnikhanov said that the VK is a strategic partner of the republic and the VK fest is held in Kazan for the second year in the row. This is a very popular event among young people, which attracted more than 20 thousand spectators last year.

“It is important that your company closely interacts also with the industrial sector of our republic. A number of companies have integrated such your services as cloud technologies for automated control of wells and staff electronic document flow,” Rustam Minnikhanov stated.

 He also emphasized the importance of opening the IT hub of the company in Kazan and work done in operational import substitution of the state postal system as a result of their last meeting.

In his turn Vladimir Kirienko informed that for the first time in Russia the Company implemented a project of translating portals into Tatar language and today it already has about 100 thousand unique users.

The parties also discussed an opportunity of creating a digital ID to set an age limit for scooter rental users, and the VK Director also proposed to work with large companies and share the experience in cloud systems.
