Rustam Minnikhanov takes part in presentation of serial production of the SENAT 900 car and a prototype of the flagship SENAT 1000 car

On 4 June at the St Petersburg International Economic Forum the Rais (Head) of Tatarstan Rustam Minnikhanov and other guests took part in a presentation of serial production of the SENAT 900 car and a prototype of the flagship SENAT 1000 car, where the Deputy Chairman of the Russian Government Denis Manturov told that today Russia has mastered the development and production of cars in all major segments. However, cars of this class have not been developed and manufactured in Russia for the last 40 years. Therefore, the revival of premium car production is seen not only as a new product, but also as an opportunity to gradually recreate engineering competencies in the development and improvement of cars of this class, he said.

 The production site of the SENAT, which is the first and only manufacturer of executive class cars in Russia, is located at the former Toyota Plant in St Petersburg.
