Rustam Minnikhanov gives appraisal to repair work in the Kazan Young Spectators Theatre and visits the TatarSu resort complex

On 1 June the Rais (Head) of Tatarstan Rustam Minnikhanov accompanied by the Mayor of Kazan Ilsur Metshin, the Deputy Prime Minister of the republic Leyla Fazleeva, the Minister of Construction, Architecture and Housing Utilities Sector Marat Ayzatullin and the regional Minister of Culture Irada Ayupova visited the Kazan State Young Spectators Theatre under restoration and reconstruction in Ostrovskogo Street and which is one of the oldest theatres in Kazan.

The regional Minister of Culture reminded the Rais of the republic that after the October revolution of 1917 the facility housed the first Tatar cultural center in Kazan (also known as the East Club) and the Young Spectators Theatre is located in this building since 1940. She also stated that the Theatre has become the first theatre in the republic to be awarded “The Gold Mask”.

After Rustam Minnikhanov and persons accompanying him looked round the facilities of the theatre, the Rais of the republic gave positive appraisal to the work done, equipment of the theatre and gave an errand to keep under control the work completion at this important site for the republic.

Later the same day, Rustam Minnikhanov visited a multifunctional TatarSu resort complex located on the bank of the Kazanka River between the Kazan Kremlin and the Kirov Dam. This is a large recreation area with pools, beaches, fountains and food outlets. It will also feature a sauna cluster with various types of steam rooms (Russian banya, Finnish sauna), a spa center, a restaurant and a food court.

During the tour round facilities, Rustam Minnikhanov was given explanations by representatives of the complex and the Construction Ministry who said that it is also planned to build a hotel at the complex area. It is supposed that the TatarSu will be a continuation of the Kremlin Embankment linking it with green zones of Admiralteyskaya Settlement.
