Rustam Minnikhanov takes part in Eid al-Adha prayer at Al-Mardjani Mosque in Kazan

On May 27, the Rais (Head) of Tatarstan Rustam Minnikhanov took part in the festive prayer marking Eid al-Adha (Kurban Bayram) and was held at the Al-Marjani Mosque in Kazan and began with the recitation of the Holy Quran.

In accordance with Islamic tradition and the decision of the Spiritual Administration of Muslims of Tatarstan, the festive prayer in the mosques of the republic began 30 minutes after sunrise.

Before the start of the festive sermon, Tatarstan Mufti Kamil hazrat Samigullin read congratulatory telegram on the occasion of Eid al-Adha from Russian President Vladimir Putin to the Muslims of Russia and from the Rais of Tatarstan Rustam Minnikhanov to the Muslims of the republic.

After the recitation of the Holy Quran, Mufti Kamil Hazrat Samigullin addressed the Muslims with a festive sermon, where he reminded of the history of Eid al-Adha as well as its religious rites and traditions.
