Rustam Minnikhanov at a meeting with Belarus Prime Minister Aleksander Turchin: We need to strengthen cooperation between our enterprises and involve SMEs

On 25 May, speaking at his meeting with the Belarus Prime Minister Aleksander Turchin in Minsk, the Rais of Tatarstan Rustam Minnikhanov, who with a delegation of Tatarstan came on a working trip to Belarus, said: “Our republic attaches priority to the development of relations with Belarus and its regions within the framework of allied Russia-Belarus relations.” 

He shared his impressions of the enterprises he visited in Brest Oblast yesterday on 24 May and emphasized that such work at the level of regions makes it possible to see deeper the economic and industrial capacity and define spheres for cooperation.

“We interact in the widest range of branches, including oil chemistry, machine-building, agribusiness complex, forestry, transport and so on. Minsk Tractor Plant occupies a special place among our Belarus partners as the most part on the agricultural machinery of Tatarstan was manufactured by this plant,” Rustam Minnikhanov emphasized.

At the same time he noted that there is a significant potential for expanding cooperation in the trade, economic, innovation and investment spheres.

“In a difficult international situation we should ramp up cooperation of our enterprises, involve SMEs more actively and make greater use of the opportunities of Chambers of Commerce, the Association of Enterprises, SEZs and industrial parks,” the Rais of the republic concluded.
