Rustam Minnikhanov meets Chairman of Brest Oblast Executive Committee Petr Parkhomchik

On 24 May during his working trip to Belarus, the Rais (Head) of Tatarstan Rustam Minnikhanov had a meeting with the Chairman of Brest Oblast Executive Committee Petr Parkhomchik, where he thanked him for the rich programme of the stay and a visit to the Brest Fortress. 

“We have all grown up on this history and of course I am impressed by the scale of this Memorial Complex,” Rustam Minnikhanov said. 

Rustam Minnikhanov particularly noted the extensive work being carried out in the Brest region in terms of patriotic education. 

“Presidents of our countries actively support the development of ties at the regional level. We in Tatarstan highly appreciate an opportunity of expanding interaction with Belarus and its regions within the framework of friendly Russia-Belarus relations”, he said.

In his turn Pert Parkhomchik stated that the Brest Oblast has developed industry and the powerful agribusiness complex. Aftera recent visit of its delegation to Tatarstan the Oblast began actively studying promising spheres of partnership which will be built at a mutually beneficial basis. 

Addressing Rustam Minnikhanov, Petr Parkhomchik said: “I would like to thank you for the visit. Tatarstan is one of active regions of Russia. We have many ideas for cooperation and hope that such joint work will make it possible to reach good dynamics” 

In conclusion of the meeting, the parties signed a Memorandum of cooperation between Tatarstan and the Brest Oblast Executive Committee.
