Aleksey Pesoshin and Head of Rosaccreditation sign cooperation agreement in the halal sector

On May 14, on the sidelines of the XVII International Economic Forum “Russia-the Islamic World: KazanForum”, Tatarstan Prime Minister Aleksey Pesoshin and Head of the Federal Service for Accreditation Dmitry Volvach signed an agreement on interaction and cooperation in the development of the halal industry.

The agreement envisages participation in joint projects aimed at ensuring confidence in halal standards, improving the rules and procedures for confirming compliance of products and services with halal requirements and promoting the development of the domestic market and exports to Muslim countries.

The parties also plan to organize joint activities focused on methodological support in the accreditation of conformity assessment bodies, as well as training initiatives, including joint educational programmes for representatives of both sides, including holding seminars, courses, training programmes and other events.
