Rustam Minnikhanov has a meeting with National Leader of the Turkmen people, Chairman of the Halk Maslahaty of Turkmenistan Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov

On May 13, speaking at the meeting in the Kazan Kremlin, with the National Leader of the Turkmen people, Chairman of the Halk Maslahaty of Turkmenistan Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov, who headed the delegation of Turkmenistan at the XVII International Economic Forum “Russia-the Islamic World: KazanForum”, the Rais(Head) of Tatarstan Rustam Minnikhanov thanked Berdimuhamedov for traditional participation in KazanForum events as an honorary guest at the head of a representative Turkmen delegation, as well as for his special attention to the development of cooperation with Tatarstan.

“We are very grateful to you for supporting KazanForum. This year, you are leading a representative delegation. Today, we have opened the Kazan Halal Market fair, where Turkmenistan has one of the largest stands. Your country has also prepared a large exhibition at KazanForum. And in general, you always give us trust and support in all our joint initiatives,” the Rais (Head) of the republic emphasized.

Berdimuhamedov thanked for the invitation to Kazan and conveyed best wishes on behalf of the President of Turkmenistan.

“International Economic Forum “Russia-the Islamic World: KazanForum” is being held for the 17th time. Every year it gains increasing authority in the international arena. Scientific and practical conferences are held on the sidelines of the forum, mainly focusing on the economy, investment, IT and digitalization. Exhibitions are also organized under the forum. It is gratifying that this year Kazan holds the status of Cultural Capital of the Islamic World. We congratulate you on this,” the Chairman of the Halk Maslahaty of Turkmenistan said.

During the meeting with Minnikhanov, Berdimuhamedov called Russian President Vladimir Putin and said that he is in Kazan and conveyed warm greetings from Tatarstan.

Minnikhanov noted that the partnership between Russia and Turkmenistan is developing successfully in a spirit of friendship and good neighborliness.

“You had a very substantive conversation with our leader. Russia and Turkmenistan are connected by many ties. A major role in this belongs to you, the President of Turkmenistan, and, of course, Russian President. Welcome to Tatarstan! We are always glad to see you here,” the Rais of the republic stated.

“Turkmenistan and Russia are long-term strategic partners. I would like to express gratitude to Vladimir Putin for creating favorable conditions for us,” Berdimuhamedov added.
