Aleksey Pesoshin lays flowers to the monument “The victorious soldier” at Arsk cemetery in Kazan

On 9 May Tatarstan Prime Minister Aleksey Pesoshin took part in a ceremony of laying flowers to the monument “The victorious soldier” dedicated to the celebrations of the Day of Victory in the Great Patriotic War (WW II) 1941-1945 and held at Arsk cemetery in Kazan.

After the minutes of silence and a ceremonial parade of a platoon of soldiers dressed in World War II uniforms the participants of the ceremony – war veterans, relatives of the fallen in WW II, members of the Russian State Duma and other officials laid flowers to the monument “A Mourning Soldier”

Aleksey Pesoshin and persons accompanying him also paid tribute to the Hero of the Soviet Union the legendary fighter pilot Mikhail Devyatayev, the Hero of the Soviet Union Boris Kuznetsov and the Hero of Social Labour, the Soviet scientist and a public leader Ildus Mostyukov.
