Rustam Minnikhanov lays flowers to the monument of warriors fallen in the Great Patriotic War in the Village of Timyashevo of Leninogorsk region

On 8 May during his working trip to Leninogorsk region, the Rais (Head) of Tatarstan Rustam Minnikhanov and persons accompanying him visited the Village of Timyashevo where they laid flowers to the monument to the fallen in the Great Patriotic War (WW II) 1941-1945 and honored the memory of the fallen with a minute of silence.

As many as 227 people went to the front from the village and 108 of them were killed or went missing in action.

The Rais was informed that currently there are two home front workers-women living in the village.

As many as 12 751 people went to the front from Leninogorsk region during the Great Patriotic War (WW II) 1941-1945 and 6 518 did not come back, while 12 residents were awarded the title of the Hero of the Soviet Union.
