Rustam Minnikhanov gives assessment of sowing work progress in Bugulma region

On 8 May the Rais (Head) of Tatarstan Rustam Minnikhanov accompanied by the regional Minister of Agriculture and Food Marat Zyabbarov and the Head of Bugulma region Damir Fattakhov visited the region, where he got acquainted with the progress of spring field work. 

At a meeting of the Rais of the republic with heads of farms and rural settlements, Damir Fattakhov informed that it is planned to sow 43 700 hectares in the region with sowing already completed on 33 per cent of the area. The weather permitting, the spring sowing will be finished by 20 May, he said.

The Head of the region told that 7 193 hectares of the region has been sown by winter crops and work on moisture retention and fertilizing perennial grasses continues.

As for the cattle-breeding, there are nearly 11 thousand heads of cattle, including 26 cows and more than 551 thousand fowls in the region, Damir Fattakhov said and also informed about production of milk and eggs.

In his turn Marat Zyabbarov stated that the main issue of the region is work for developing private farmsteads as there are only 480 cows in them. He added that today all possible forms of the support have been created for this area and called on the heads of settlements to work more actively with residents of the region.

Rustam Minnikhanov noted that priority for today is to complete spring field work on time and assured that all programmes of the republic which are aimed at improving the live quality in the regions will be continued. He also emphasized the importance of supporting families of soldiers of the special military operation especially those whose members have fallen in action.
