Rustam Minnikhanov gives an errand to hold festive events dedicated to the Victory Day at the high organizational level

On 8 May, speaking at a meeting held in the Government House of the republic with participation of the Acting Chairman of the State Council of the republic Marat Akhmetov and the regional Prime Minister Aleksey Pesoshin and all municipalities taking part in it via videoconference, the Rais (Head) of Tatarstan Rustam Minnikhanov gave an errand to hold festive events dedicated to the Victory Day and planned at all cities and regions of the republic at the high organizational level.

“These day events dedicated to the 81st anniversary of the Victory in the Great Patriotic War (WW II) 1941-1945 are held all over the republic and the country. Yesterday on 7 May in Kazan we held a meeting of regional organization committees for preparation and celebration of the 81-st anniversary of the Victory in the Great Patriotic War (WWII) 1941-1945 and holding the Year of Military and Labour Valor in the republic. A ceremonial event was also held to honor war veterans and participants of the Special Military Operation and the Enterprises of Labor Valor,” he said and reminded that the main festive event is taking place on 9 May.

Traditionally, the capital of the republic will host flower and wreath-laying ceremonies in Victory Park and at military cemeteries, a ceremonial march of the Kazan garrison and special units, followed by the Immortal Regiment procession, the Rais of the republic informed and said: “I give an errant to the officials of the republic to take part in the Victory Day celebrations in the assigned cities and districts. The main task is to ensure security of residents and guests of the republic.”

Rustam Minnikhanov also reminded about the 17th International Economic Forum “Russia-the Islamic World: KazanForum” to be held on 12-17 May,  with meetings of the intergovernmental commission of Russia with foreign states and the annual meeting of the Strategic Vision Group "Russia - Islamic World» to be held on its sidelines and concluded: “ A busy week is ahead, all tasks are assigned, it is necessary to carry out all planned events efficiently.”
