Rustam Minnikhanov at a ceremony of opening a monument to Ildus Mostyukov: He is a really legendary personality

On 7 May the Rais (Head) of Tatarstan Rustam Minnikhanov the Chief of Staff of the Office of the Rais Asgat Safarov, the regional Deputy Prime Minister Leyla Fazleeva, the Acting Chairman of the State Council of the republic Marat Akhmetov, the regional Minister of Culture Irada Ayupova, the President of the Tatarstan Academy of Sciences Rifkat Minnikhanov and other officials took part in a ceremony of unveiling the monument  to the Hero of Socialist Labout Ildus Mostyukov created by  the sculptor, member of the Union of Artists of Russia Zulfiya Mukhamedyanova and erected at the Alley of Glory of the Arskoye Cemetery in Kazan .

Speaking at the ceremony, Rustam Minnikhanov said:”Ildus Mostyukov was an outstanding scientist who left a deep footprint in the history of the country. He is a really legendary person. He made a huge contribution to the development of the domestic engineering and design school, increasing the country's defense capability and security. In 1980 Ildus Mostyukov was awarded the Lenin and State Prizes of the USSR for having developed combined arms radar unified state system of identification of friend or foe.”

The Rais of the republic thanked initiators and the sculptor for the creation of the monument to Ildus Mostyukov.

The Hero of Socialist Labor, the Chairperson of the public organization "Heroes of Tatarstan" Lyubov Smirnova recalled that Ildus Mostyukov headed the public organization "Heroes of Tatarstan" in 1999.

In the end of the event flowers were laid to the monument.
