Rais of Tatarstan meets People’s Artist of Russia, the founder of the International competition “New Wave” Igor Krutoy

On 28 April at their meeting in the Government House of the republic held with participation of the Chief of Staff of the Office of the regional Cabinet of Ministers Shamil Gafarov, the Deputy Prime Minister of the republic Leyla Fazleeva and the Mayor of Kazan Ilsur Metshin,  the Rais (Head) of Tatarstan Rustam Minnikhanov  and  the People’s Artist of Russia, the founder of the International competition “New Wave” Igor Krutoy discussed a number of issues of the festival preparation and holding.

The New Wave competition has been held since 2002 with the aim of identifying and supporting talented young performers, developing international cultural exchange in the field of pop music, and popularizing new musical works and performers. In the current year Kazan has been chosen as its venue for the second year in the row.
