A joint meeting of the Council for Enforcement of Legislation of Languages of Tatarstan and the organizational committee for celebrations of the 140th birthday of Gabdulla Tukay held in Tatarstan Government House

On 24 April in the Government House of the republic, Tatarstan Prime Minister Aleksey Pesoshin held a joint meeting the Council for Enforcement of Legislation of Languages of Tatarstan and the organizational committee for celebrations of the 140th birthday of Gabdulla Tukay which summarized results of work of the regional law enforcement on official languages of the republic and considered progress of the implementation of the plan of main events for preparation and celebration of the 140th birthday of Gabdulla Tukay .

The regional Deputy Minister of Education and Science Minzaliya Zaripova reported the meeting about the implementation of the legislation of the republic on the state languages ​​of Tatarstan in 2025, while the Head of Mamadysh Municipality Vadim Nikitin told participants of the meeting about the implementation of the law on languages in his municipality and about events held in the region dedicated to culture and traditions of ethnicities living in it.

Tatarstan Minister of Culture Irada Ayupova represented a regional plan of main events for preparation and celebration of the 140th birthday of Gabdulla Tukay such as dictations and competitions in Tatar language to  be held all over the republic and a publication of a six-volume work of Gabdulla Tukay in Russian.

She also informed that the renovated Gabdulla Tukay museum complex will be opened with participation of the Rais (Head) of the republic Rustam Minnikhanov in the Village of Kyrlay on 25 April of the current year.

Summarizing results of work of the Council in 2025 and for the first three months of 2026, Aleksey Pesoshin stated that the main indicators were met. At the same time he gave an errand to pay special attention to achievement of such indicators as “The share of regulatory legal acts published in the established manner in the official languages ​​of the Republic of Tatarstan” and “The share of news reports synchronized in official languages ​​posted on official websites.”

“On 26 April we are celebrating the 140th birthday of Gabdulla Tukay and it is important to hold all festive events at a high organizational level,” he concluded.
