Rustam Minnikhanov meets Hokim of Kashkadarya region of Uzbekistan on the sidelines of the “INNOPROM. Central Asia”

On 20 April,  at his meeting with the Hokim of Kashkadarya region of Uzbekistan Murotjon Azimov on the sidelines of the “INNOPROM. Central Asia”, the Rais (Head) of Tatarstan Rustam Minnikhanov said that Tatarstan makes a substantial contribution into strengthening ties between Russia and Uzbekistan. Cooperation between regions makes it possible to expand the range of goods delivered, he said.

“Tatarstan is one of the leaders in investment climate rankings and one of the most economically developed regions in Russia. We are an oil-producing and oil-refining republic with developed petrochemical industry and manufacturing cars, planes, helicopters, ships and machine building products. We attach special attention to the innovational development,” the Rais of the republic said. 

The parties of the meeting discussed the construction of the largest resort center Gelon in Central Asia, which is the project being implemented with participation of Tatarstan business  ‘The project has been supported by the President of Uzbekistan, who has taken a decision to provide all necessary infrastructure for its implementation,” the Hokim of the region informed.

Kashkadarya region is located in the southern part on the country in the Kashkadarya River Basin and has a high industrial, agricultural and tourist potential. Its main sectors of the economy are fuel and energy and gas chemical industries, electric power, agriculture, textile and light industry.
