Rustam Minnikhanov meets Uzbekistan Prime Minister Abdulla Aripov

On 20 April, speaking at his meeting with the Uzbekistan Prime-Minister Abdulla Aripov in the Government House in Tashkent, the Rais (Head) of Tatarstan Rustam Minnikhanov informed that a big delegation from Tatarstan has arrived to the International Industrial Exhibition “INNOPROM. Central Asia”. “We consider the exhibition to be an important platform for strengthening cooperation with countries of Central Asia and first of all with brotherly Uzbekistan,” the Rais of the republic emphasized. 

He noted that the authorities of Tatarstan are in constant contact with members of the Government of Uzbekistan and said: “I rate the level and dynamics of our interaction in recent years as very high.” 

In particular, the Rais of the republic attracted attention to the expansion of presence of enterprises from such spheres as machine building, oil industry and medicine of the republic in the Uzbekistan market. 

In his turn, welcoming Rustam Minnikhanov, Abdulla Aripov thanked for a representative delegation which has arrived from Tatarstan to take part in the international exhibition. “We highly appreciate your personal attention to our cooperation. You bring young businessmen with you and open opportunities of Uzbekistan for them which facilitates the development of cooperation and is beneficial for economy of the two countries. You are a highly experienced person, have seen a lot and always give good and useful proposals,” he said. 

As a result of this joint work, major projects are being implemented in Jizzakh and Chirchik. The latter industrial zone already has 28 operating companies, the Uzbekistan Prime Minister informed. 

In conclusion Rustam Minnikhanov reminded about the International Economic Forum “Russia-the Islamic world: KazanForum” to be held in the upcoming May and said: “Last year, a representative delegation from Uzbekistan attended the Forum. We look forward to welcoming a high-level delegation from your country to the next event.”
