Rais of Tatarstan: Today the municipal community of the republic is a big and united team

On 18 April, speaking at a regular meeting in the Government House of the republic, the Rais (Head) of Tatarstan Rustam Minnikhanov informed that on 21 April Russia will celebrate the Local Self-Government Day and emphasized that today the municipal community of the republic is a big and united team of managers, employees and public activists.

He stated that the municipal community of the republic comprises more than 7 500 members of representative bodies and more than 5 300 municipal employees, 914 heads of municipalities, 522 activists of the Councils of Territorial Public Self-Government, as well as workers in the social sphere and housing and communal services, who directly resolve issues of life on the ground.

“Local government has always been and remains the closest and most understandable link in the governance system for people. I congratulate all representatives of municipalities of the republic with their professional holiday which we are solemnly celebrating at the regional level today. Heads of cities and regions must organize events everywhere to honor activists and employees of municipalities”, Rustam Minnikhanov said.
