Rustam Minnikhanov meets Chairman of the Board of the Turkish Polymeks holding Erol Tabanca

On 16 April at their meeting in the Kazan Kremlin held with participation of the Mayor of Kazan Ilsur Metshin, the Plenipotentiary representative of the republic to Turkey Ayart Gataullin and other officials, the Rais (Head) of Tatarstan Rustam Minnikhanov and the Chairman of the Board of the Turkish Polymeks holding Erol Tabanca discussed further development of cooperation and implementation of promising projects.

The Polymeks is a Turkish construction holding with headquarters in Istanbul and has implemented more than 130 various projects in different countries including those in Kazan, and, speaking at the meeting, Rustam Minnikhanov emphasized that the republic traditionally attaches big attention to the development of Tatarstan-Turkish trade, economic and investments interaction. He also said that the republic is an efficient link between Russia and Turkey with active exchange of delegations and established contacts with the Turkish leadership facilitating this process.  The Rais of the republic especially mentioned good attitude of the President of Turkey Recep Tayyip Erdoğan towards the republic.

“Results of our joint work are very impressive. Last year our trade turnover exceeded 4.5bn dollars US and all projects already implemented with participation of Turkish companies continue to develop successfully,” he said. Rustam Minnikhanov stated that the Polymeks has established itself as a reliable partner and investor and invited Turkish partners to take part in the upcoming KazanForum held under the patronage of the Russian Government and personally Deputy Prime Minister Marat Khusnullin.

“I am sure that participation of you and your colleagues and a presentation at the Polymeks holding stand will have a positive response,” he concluded.

In his turn Erol Tabanca thanked the Rais of the republic for attention to cooperation with Polymeks and assistance in implementing investment projects of the company.
