Congratulations from Tatarstan Prime Minister Aleksey Pesoshin with the Maecenas and Benefactor Day

On 13 April in his congratulatory address on the occasion of the Maecenas and Benefactor Day, Tatarstan Prime Minister Aleksey Pesoshin congratulated residents of the republic with the event and wrote: "Tatarstan has always been known for its generous and kind-hearted people who are ready to help the needy and support important social, cultural and educational projects. We all remember with gratitude the outstanding philanthropists – the Akchurin brothers, the Alafuzovs, and the Ushkovs, whose good deeds and generous donations contributed to the development of culture, education, and healthcare in our republic. The glorious traditions are continued by modern philanthropists and patrons of Tatarstan.

In our days the support to the needy gains new forms and becomes more systemic and efficient. Representatives of business, public organizations and common citizens of the republic take active part in the implementation of socially important programmes, help poor families, orphans people of older generation and those with disabilities. Corporate practices of charitable activities deserve special mention.

Support of participants of the special military operation and their families has gained special importance. Residents of Tatarstan are actively providing comprehensive assistance to the military and their families. This is a real demonstration of human solidarity and patriotism which deserve the deepest respect.
