Aleksey Pesoshin: Russian Venture Forum has confirmed its status of the point of attraction of technological development leaders

On 4 April , speaking at a closing ceremony of the XX  Russian Venture Forum held at the Kazan Expo Exhibition Center, Tatarstan Prime Minister Aleksey Pesoshin said that the Russian Venture Forum has confirmed its status of the point of attraction of technological development leaders.

The Forum created a unified scientific, technological and investment space where scientific ideas are transformed into competitive products, and startups gain access to capital and markets. Its business programme is organically integrated into the regional and federal agenda for achieving technological sovereignty and leadership of Russia, he said. 

The Head of the Government of the republic stated that in the current year the Forum has united more than 7 thousand participants –representatives of science, business, venture community and power bodies, including also delegates from such friendly countries as Belarus, Kazakhstan, Uzbekistan, India, Iran and others. “This demonstrates the growing international interest in the opportunities offered by the forum and the infrastructure we have created to support technological entrepreneurship,” he said. 

The Forum traditionally attaches great attention to the support of technological companies at their early development stages and this year more than 150 startups demonstrated their developments  at the expositionsand pitch-sessions, which gave them an opportunity of a direct dialogues with investors, institutes of development and  industrial partners, and in his speech Aleksey Pesoshin attracted attention to the fact “that when implementing national projects and shaping new technological markets, the Forum serves as a link between government priorities, scientific developments and the real needs of business.” 

The Head of the Government of the republic expressed his gratitude to organizers, partners and participants of the Russian Venture Forum and awarded winners of the Acceleration Programme.
