Chairman of the Russian Government Mikhail Mishustin has send a welcoming address to participants of the XX Russian Venture Forum which has opened in Kazan

On 9 April in his welcoming address to participants of the plenary session of the XX Russian Venture Forum held at the Kazan Expo Exhibition Center, the Chairman of the Russian Government Mikhail Mishustin emphasized that this event gives and opportunity for investors to exchange experience and breakthrough ideas.  “For 20 years the Forum has been uniting domestic and foreign investors, entrepreneurs and representatives of large corporations and the research and technologies community, opening opportunities for exchanging experience, breakthrough and promising ideas, best practices and tools for starting and scaling up one’s business,” he wrote.

Mikhail Mishustin stated that “technological leadership is one of the national development goals set by the President for our country. To achieve this goal, systematic work is being carried out, including the formation of a sustainable venture ecosystem, attracting funding to high-tech start-ups and increasing the innovative potential of industrial enterprises. We are developing our own cutting-edge engineering and scientific solutions capable of competing on the international stage, and implementing projects that strengthen economic growth and the country's position in the global community. Much is being done to support small technology companies and reduce administrative barriers for businesses. All these measures contribute to the expansion of the venture capital market.”

“I am sure the results of the Forum will contribute to strengthening the strategic partnership,” he said and in conclusion wished all participants of the Forum “constructive discussions and bold innovative ideas that can be put into practice on a global scale.”
