Rustam Minnikhanov meets Patriarch Kirill of Moscow and All Russia in Moscow

On 31 March at their meeting in Moscow held with participation of the Metropolitan Kirill of Kazan and Tatarstan, the Rais (Head) of Tatarstan Rustam Minnikhanov, who is on a working trip in the capital of Russia, and the Patriarch Kirill of Moscow and All Russia expressed their deep concern with an accident which took place in Nizhnekamsk, having emphasized that currently everyone is praying for the health of the victims.

Speaking at the meeting, the Rais of the republic stated that meetings with the Primate of the Russian Orthodox Church have become a good tradition clearly demonstrating the dynamic development of Orthodox life in the republic and the strengthening of constructive interfaith dialogue.

The parties of the meeting discussed issues of spiritual development of Tatarstan and joint projects in restoration of religious shrines, paying special attention to the revival of the Kazan Mother of God Monastery complex.

In conclusion Rustam Minnikhanov invited Patriarch Kirill to visit Tatarstan.” May our joint efforts continue to bear blessed fruit. We are waiting for you in our republic,” he said.
